Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Byron, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of August 24, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The term project is defined in Document 00700 - Abbreviations and Definitions, Paragraph 2. Major features of this project include the following: 1. Seal and pave roads and parking areas at the Delta Field Division (DFD), Harvey O. Banks Pumping Plant. Work shall consist of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, and services required for replace distressed pavement with new material, application of seal coat, placing, and compacting of hot mix asphalt pavement for roadways and parking lots, to the lines, grades, and dimensions shown on the drawings and as specified herein. a. Traffic controls. b. Demolition. c. Asphaltic emulsion. d. Screening gradations. e. Traffic stripes and pavement markings. f. Slurry seal coat. g. Miscellaneous pavement repairs. h. Hot mix asphalt (HMA) paving and overlays. i. Ditch work and HMA dikes. j. Earthwork, including removing 1- 1/2 to 4 inches of existing asphalt. k. PVC pipe installation. l. Precast concrete drain inlet. m. Compaction of aggregate base. n. Miscellaneous pavement and parking features including wheelstops. Questions relating to bidding may be directed to the Contract Coordinator of DWR in Sacramento, at the contacts listed above. Questions or requests for clarification of the drawings or specifications shall be made in writing no later than 10 days before the scheduled opening of bids. Response, if warranted, will be sent to all prospective bidders on the DWR Planholder's List. Due to travel and gathering restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department will provide a virtual inspection trip via self-guided viewing of presentation materials that are available on the website listed in Document 00300 - Information Available. A Bid Form booklet will be furnished only to prequalified bidders who meet the requirements of the State Contract Act and Document 00040 - Prequalification. Bid forms for this work are included in a separate booklet titled BID FORM, available only from the Department. Bids will be considered only if submitted for all the work required for the above project. Contractor's license classification required for this work: A and C-12, or A with C-12 Sub . All bidders must submit both the "Contractor's Statement of Experience and Financial Condition" together with "Contractor's Safety Performance" questionnaire, on forms provided by the Department. To qualify, these must be completed and approved before bid documents can be issued to the Contractor. The Department encourages bidders to explore certification as a Small Business and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and to utilize certified Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises during the contract term. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Cost Estimate: $5,000,000.00 - $5,750,000.00 *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
