A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The project includes but is not limited to: Install of an new sidewalk on west side of Beckwith Hall to the firepit area, repair/replacement of sidewalk flags at the Mendel Center southeast walkway near the Hanson Theatre entrance and crosswalk areas. Install crosswalk landing sidewalk by lot 2 center crosswalk to Mendel. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all submissions without explanation, either in whole or in part; to waive informalities and/or to negotiate separately in any matter whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the Owner to be in its best interest. It is the intention of the Owner that the construction of this project will start no later than seven (7) working days following award of Contract or Letter of Intent to award contract. Selection Criteria for this project will be based on the lowest base bid (including all projects) Bids that are unsigned, improperly signed or sealed, conditional, illegible, obscure, contain arithmetical errors, erasures, alterations, or irregularities of any kind, may at the discretion of the Owner, be declared unacceptable. Bid Forms, Appendices, and enclosures which are improperly prepared may, at the discretion of Owner, be declared unacceptable. Clarifications requested by bidders must be in writing not less than 3 days before date set for receipt of bids. The reply will be in the form of an Addendum, a copy of which will be forwarded to known recipients. Bidders are encouraged to utilize the services of minority and women owned subcontractors and suppliers where possible in the pursuance of this project. Before the start of construction, a pre-construction meeting shall be held. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to arrange said meeting as soon as notification of award has been made by the College, Coordinate location of the meeting with the LMC Project Manager. Once the work is started, it shall proceed to completion without delay. DURATION OF OFFER A. Your offer is required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability and forfeiture of your entire bid security for a period of 30 days after submission. B. Upon acceptance by the College, an executed copy of the contract will be returned to the Contractor as their official notice of award. The Contract, however, shall not be in force until the Contractor has complied with all of the requirements of insurance and bonds.
