Island County Public Works (AGENCY) solicits interest from consulting firms (CONSULTANT) with expertise in hydraulic design, fish passage, and culvert design. Consultants will be considered for the following project. The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of the design and construction support of two fish passable culverts located at deep culverts across Fidalgo Dr. and George Dr., both situated on Scatchet Head in Island County, Washington. The general scope of work includes preliminary site characterization, including evaluating existing hydraulic conditions upstream and downstream of Island County Culverts 131 and 137, collection and analysis of hydraulic data, collection and analysis of geotechnical data, completion of a topographic survey, environmental permitting and monitoring, and the design and installation of a fish passable replacement culvert. Tasks may include but are not limited to the following: o Preparation of a Hydraulic Report o Preparation of a Geotechnical Engineering Report o Provide geotechnical field inspection during construction o Preparation of a Full Topographic Survey and Existing Conditions for Plan Development o All environmental work and reporting necessary to meet permitting requirements o Fish passage design to meet current standards and regulations o Development of full plan sets, stamped by a Washington State Licensed Engineer o All CAD drafting and design work completed according to Island County CAD standards.
