The work contemplated in the Proposal consists of replacing existing Bridge 46 (75th Street) and Bridge 72 (120th Street) with new concrete box culverts and all necessary grading and roadway construction as shown in the project plan set. Question Cutoff Date 6/30/2022 03:00:00 PM (ET) Sarpy County is seeking proposals for Bridge 46 (75th Street) and Bridge 72 (120th Street) Replacements for the Sarpy County Public Works Department. The successful Contractor will enter into a Contract for the specified services. Areas include: 1. Concrete Box Culvert replacing Bridge 46 (75th Street South of Platteview Road) 2. Concrete Box Culvert replacing Bridge 72 (120th Street South of Buffalo Road) Each electronic bid must include an electronic bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price and must be payable without condition to the Sarpy County Treasurer, to protect Sarpy County against failure to deliver materials as bid. The bid bond must be attached in the attachments tab. The selected Vendor's security will be retained until satisfactory delivery of performance bond and all contract documents are signed and received. All other Vendor's security will be retained for 30 days after bid award. If bid bond as herein set forth is not received with the proposal, the proposal may not be considered. The successful Vendor shall be required to furnish a performance bond, and said bond shall be in the amount of 100% of the total amount of the bid, written by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Nebraska. Said performance bond shall be provided to the Sarpy County Clerk within ten (10) days after execution of the contract documents and bid award. Bond may be secured through the Vendor's usual sources. The overall contract shall achieve Substantial Completion on or before August 19, 2023 and Final Completion on or before September 16, 2023. For Bridge 46 - 75th Street, the Contractor shall have 135 calendar days from the start of work at this location to achieve Substantial Completion and 165 calendar days from the start of work at this location to achieve Final Completion. For Bridge 72 - 120th Street, the Contractor shall have 180 calendar days from the start of work at this location to achieve Substantial Completion and 210 calendar days from the start of work at this location to achieve Final Completion. Every request for such interpretation or correction should be in writing through the online bid system or by email to Renee Frankman, rfrankman@sarpy.gov. Sarpy County prefers all questions be submitted through the electronic bidding program. Requests must be received by date and time listed in the bid 4 information in order for Sarpy County to have time to issue an addendum. All bids submitted shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days following the final date for submission of bids. Sarpy County will not be liable for costs incurred by Vendors for proposal preparation, printing, demonstration, or any other costs associated with or incurred in reliance on proposal creation. All such costs shall be the responsibility of the Vendor. The bids shall include all charges and applicable taxes, F.O.B. Destination, freight prepaid, Sarpy County, Nebraska. The Vendor need not include sales tax in the bid. Sarpy County will, upon request, furnish the successful Vendor with required State of Nebraska Tax Exempt Forms at the request of the vendor. The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor informalities. In the event of conflict between unit price and extended price, unit price shall prevail.
