The City of Sylvania is requesting Statements of Qualifications from design-build teams to provide professional engineering design and construction services for the Harroun Park Stream Restoration Project (Phase 2). This project targets sediment and nutrient reduction in the Ottawa River through Harroun Park. The goal of the project is to improve eroded streambank conditions using bioengineering and natural channel design techniques. Highlights of the project include installing six (6) J-hook structures, six (6) constructed riffles, approximately 700 linear feet of toe wood, and approximately 1,000 linear feet of soil wraps and brush layering. Also, 0.4 acres of riparian floodplain corridor along the south bank will be planted with native grasses, shrubs, and trees. The Design-Build Team shall furnish all necessary drawings, plans, labor, equipment, and construction oversight services to complete the project.
