The Town of Oakville invites proposals for services described as providing a water treatment system (one unit) to be used at our ice resurfacer machines. The systems are intended to reduce hot water usage for arena resurfacing and to enable faster water freeze times following resurfacing. The desired system must easily attach to the ice resurfacer water-fill station for ease of use for arena operators. The town is seeking to purchase one (1) ice resurfacer water treatment system and an optional three (3) units within the next two years. These units are intended to enable energy savings by reducing hot water usage and by reducing refrigeration plant compressor run times by allowing water to freeze more quickly following ice resurfacing. The successful bidder will be responsible for the supply, installation, warranty and the provision of a maintenance/calibration program based on a ten (10) year lifecycle. Desired system must easily attach to ice resurfacer water-fill station and treat the water before it exits the system and goes into the ice resurfacer for ease of use for arena operators. The town currently has one (5) Magnavitalis system installed at various facilities and are seeking a similar style/type of unit/installation. The town is seeking bids for 1 unit to be installed this year, with prices for the installation of up to 3 additional units within the next two years. This year's unit is intended to serve a twin-pad operation.
