2025 Water Main Improvements - CAP2511 - City of Royal Oak Water main upgrades on: Woodward, Buckingham to Normandy; Woodward, north of Starr; Chester, Hillside to Dukeshire, Dukeshire - Chester to Normandy; Sheridan/Arden Place (plus rain gardens), Yorba Linda (Dukeshire to Woodward) Also includes road millage improvements on these roads including full reconstruct of Yorba Linda. As of November 13, 2024, this project is included in the City of Royal Oaks' FY 2024-2030 CIP. Information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). Installing new 12" HDPE DIPS DR11 pipe using the horizontal direction drilling method along the north side of the 8 Mile Right-of-Way between the back of curb and property lines from Mendota Ave. to approximately 650' east of Wyoming Ave and installing new 8" HDPE DIPS DR11 along Mendota Ave. from Eight Mile Road to Fitzgerald Pl., Pasadena Ave. from Mendota Ave. to Ithaca Ave., Fitzgerald Pl. from Mendota to Evers Pl., and Woodside Ave from Northend Ave. to 250' south of Pasadena Ave. Project consists of curedin-place pipe lining along Glen Lodge Avenue from the south dead end to Bates Street. Total quantities of new water main installed for this project are 6,155 feet of 8" diameter pipe by horizontal directional drilling, 1,081 feet of 8" diameter pipe by open cutting, 1,710 feet of 12" diameter pipe by horizontal directional drilling and 203 feet of 12" diamter pipe by open cutting. Total quantity of 8" diameter water main cured-in-placed pipe lined is 1,579 feet.
