This document will provide VA reviewers and the construction team a clear understanding of the project intent and what is required at each stage of the project. 2. PROJECT SCOPE: 2.1 Detailed Project Description: The purpose of this project is to perform the necessary pre-work activities required for the installation of a new on-site treatment regulated medical waste systems. These new systems will serve the end users at their main medical campuses listed above. Each project shall prepare the needed site infrastructure required for the successful installation of a new San-I-Pack Auto Clave 342-3P Sterilizer at the site. The proposed equipment that will be purchased and installed by vendor for this project will be procured under a separate IDIQ award and is not part of this award. The contractor will be required to closely coordinate with the equipment manufacturer throughout performance. The scope under this award will include the construction to include the following project components: o Electrical: o 1. Electrical wiring and connection to available on-site panel o 2. Utility connections to the new San-I-Pak unit o 3. Core drilling. o Mechanical: o 1. Installation of domestic 1/2 " water line, o 2. Installation of 1" Steam line o 3.
