Demolition, site work, paving and addition to a sidewalk / parking lot in Bath, New York. Completed plans call for the addition of a sidewalk / parking lot; for the demolition of a sidewalk / parking lot; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Project consists of two separate sites; one building addition onto the existing Civil Defense Training Facility and a new paved Parking Lot at the former Steuben Academy site with locations as follows: New Addition to the Civil Defense Training Facility - 7220 NY- 54 (Geneva Street), Bath NY, 14810 General Construction and site consist of a single story building addition (approximately 2,010 s.f.) to provide additional space, storage and a loading dock. The addition will be located in the southeast corner in the rear of the building. The building will be traditional stud wall construction with a brick veneer. The first floor may be used as a potential Call Center, active County storage for PPE and mechanical space. The structure of the building will consist of reinforced concrete foundations, a roof truss frame system, slab-on-grade first floor, and gable asphalt roofing. The bearing wall sill also be shear walls to resist the wind and seismic lateral loading. The building envelope consists of metal framing and brick veneer cavity walls The vestibule shall be served by a hot water heating cabinet unit heater, with branch piping tapped into the existing buildings perimeter hot water heating loop. A remote line-voltage thermostat shall cycle the fan for temperature control
