Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This contract consists of a base bid and alternate bid. Both the base bid and alternate bid involve the furnishing all materials, machinery, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, labor, and supervision required to construct the proposed retaining wall along Aquetong Creek as shown on the Contract Drawings and specified herein. The work consists of but is not limited to: mobilization, traffic control, installation and maintenance of Erosion and Sedimentation Controls, demolition, replacement of the retaining wall, slate sidewalk installation, parking lot repaving, clearing & grubbing, and grading. The quantities associated with the base bid and each alternate are more fully defined in Section 01 22 00 Measurement and Payment. A nominal fee of 0.33% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders who are awarded contracts. For bidders who are not the winning bid; there are absolutely no fees. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Bucks County Redevelopment Authority and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Bucks County Redevelopment Authority. The successful Bidder shall pay no less than the Federal Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Bucks County Redevelopment Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to accept the bid, which it deems, in its sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Owner.
