Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Millsboro, Delaware. Completed plans call for the construction of a 12,426-square-foot fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
For the following project: MILLSBORO POLICE STATION In the event the Millsboro Town Center is not open to the public, bids may be submitted in person by use of the Town Hall drive-through window, unless safety recommendations and/or restrictions prevent the use thereof, a determination that shall be made by the Town in its sole and absolute discretion. The Town reserves the right to read the bids publicly by use of teleconferencing, video and/or web conferencing. The project is located at Ellis Street, Millsboro, Delaware. The work includes construction of a new one-story police station of approximately 12,426 square feet. Building is a slab on grade, with concrete block and cold formed steel framing exterior walls on strip footings and a wood truss roof structure. The exterior of the building combines several materials, brick veneer, precast concrete panel rainscreen and metal siding. The roof is a non-mechanically seam metal roof. The interior wall finishes are a combination of painted concrete block and gypsum board. The floor finishes consist of sealed concrete, vinyl tile and carpet. The ceilings are either painted gypsum board or acoustical tile. The plumbing is standard. The Mechanical System is a multi VRF system. The electric 3 phase 120/208. The site work consists of a new building, permeable asphalt parking spots with asphalt drive aisles, concrete and brick sidewalks, security fence with automatic gates, generator, and stormwater management facilities (ponds and underground storage) located on a 2.077-acre site. 1. Construction is projected to begin in September 2022 and take approximately 365 calendar days. Architect is: Davis Bowen & Friedel, Inc. 601 East Main Street Salisbury, MD 21804 No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. The Town intends to obtain funding from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development Community Facility Loans Program for this project.
