Saving Project...

Renovation of a military facility in Tampa, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This project will provide modifications to the HVAC system at NOSC Tampa to improve the reliability of service to the Server and Secure spaces. It will also address the building's inadequate ventilation in the locker room area and overcooling in other spaces. The project is structured with a Base Bid and two Bid Options. Base Bid Rooms 109 (Server) & 110 (Secure) 1) Provide a new DX VAV split system to provide redundancy for Rooms 109 & 110. Locate the AHU in the ceiling space above the corridor and provide a VAV box for each of the two spaces. 2) Demolish the existing inoperable ductless split systems serving Rooms 109 & 110. 3) Modify main AHU 2-2 ductwork to create a new dedicated zone for Room 109. This will serve as the primary conditioning for the space. Room 113 (Fitness Center) 1) The function of this room has changed from fitness to an administrative space. The space is currently overcooled. Modify main AHU 2-2 ductwork and replace the existing VAV box with a new properly sized box. Bid Option 1 Rooms 115, 116, 118, 119 (Women & Mens Restroom/Shower/Locker Areas) 1) These areas have high humidity and have low airflow through the spaces. Replace the NOSC Tampa HVAC Work Order Number 1685629 Naval Reserve Center, Tampa, FL SMALL PROJECT TEMPLATE - PART 3 STATEMENT OF WORK / PROJECT PROGRAM - Page 2 inoperable exhaust fan and modify the HVAC system as necessary to improve conditions in these areas. Replace the existing wall mounted thermostats serving VAV-11 (Mens) and VAV-12 (Womens) with new combination thermostat / humidistat. Bid Option 2 Room 125 (Assembly Hall) 2) Modify or replace the interior door assembly as necessary between the Corridor and the Assembly Hall to correct deficiencies. The existing door hinges have not withstood the constant wear and tear resulting from high volume traffic and are failing. This is causing the doors to no longer be aligned, preventing the doors from completely closing. Provide design modifications that incorporate piano style hinges to withstand high volume traffic. Refer to RFP Part 6 - Attachments, which includes a Conceptual Drawing and Photos identifying the locations of the work described above. Part 6 also includes mechanical, electrical, and architectural record drawings for the building. The record drawings are to be field verified. Mechanical drawings indicate the HVAC system includes hydronic heating, but current conditions indicate electric resistance heating was used instead.
