The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to construct the Rehabilitation of Pipe Coatings on a Trestle Over Cypress Creek for Cy-Champ Public Utility District. The work generally consists of the removal of all old coating which do not adhere to the water line or the sanitary sewer force main and apply new coatings including all appurtenances as herein specified. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes upon the blank form of proposal furnished. It is understood and agreed between the parties hereto that time is of the essence in this contract, and that for each day of delay beyond the completion date of the contract (after due allowance for such extension time as is provided herein) the Contractor shall pay to the OWNER as liquidated damages the sum of $_500.00 per day; it being understood between the parties hereto that such sum shall be treated as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, and the OWNER may withhold from the Contractor's compensation such sums as liquidated damages. The Contractor awarded the construction contract for rehabilitation of Pipe Coatings on a Trestle Over Cyp (or a subcontractor of the Contractor), shall pay their workers not less than the general prevailing rates established by Cy-Champ Public Utility District (included herein). It is understood that the OWNER reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
