The City of Perry is requesting sealed bids for the construction of a concrete pedestrian path (approximately 10 feet wide (0.25-mile loop) extending from an existing parking lot and connecting existing features. Attached is a basic visual representation of the work to be completed (Attachment A - "Overhead View". This bid encompasses "Phase 1A" denoted in red and "Entry Walkway" denoted in yellow). Construction standards associated with this project generally consist of: Specs: Playground entry: Smooth transitions and corners at all entries and connections; slope up to play surfacing as needed. Must meet all ADA and code requirements. Picnic table pad: Adjust slope for ADA-compliant transition from existing concrete pad to new sidewalk connection. Proper expansion of joints and structural cracks will need to be repaired before acceptance by the City. City of Perry requires a 3500 Mix; compressive strength of (f'c) 3500 psi @ 28 days. Pedestrian sidewalk shall be 3.5 inches in thickness and formed with 1" x 4" boards. The approximate location of the path is currently staked out. All work to be completed must be reviewed by City of Perry staff with all final decisions made by said staff. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount.
