Renovation of a detention facility in Bowling Green, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Re-roofing of the west half of the internal low/flat sloped roof areas of the Juvenile Residential Center of NW Ohio (JRC), located at 1012 South Dunbridge Road, Bowling Green, OH 43402. The Work will consist of removal/dismantling and salvaging or disposing of lightning rod protection system clips and components prior to re-roofing, reinstall the existing and as needed new lightning rod system components/clips on the new roof membrane system with the roof membrane manufacturer's approved adhesive, the system shall be checked and certified as per industry standard, 1012 South Dunbridge Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. The estimate of probable cost for this project is $146,800.00. All Requests for Information (RFI) and questions must be e-mailed to Steve Blausey at sblausey@woodcountyohio.com by Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. All bids must be signed and submitted on copies or originals of the blanks which are bound in the contract documents. Bids must state the prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked - Wood County JRC Re-roof Project - and addressed to Wood County Commissioners, One Courthouse Square, 5th floor, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. When a project is funded in whole or in part by State of Ohio Capital Funds, it is required that Domestic steel use requirements as specified in Section 153.01 of the revised code apply to this project. Copies of Section 153.01 of the revised code can be obtained from any of the offices of the Department of Administrative Services. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) NOTICE TO BIDDERS 2 OF 2 2. A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in favor of the Wood County Commissioners, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. If the contract is awarded a Contract Bond will be required, which is a one hundred percent (100%) payment and performance bond. Bidders shall submit with their bid the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Wood County, Ohio. The Contractor declares that its principal officers, directors, shareholders and/or partners are current with any court-ordered child support payments pursuant to the Board of County Commissioners' Resolution No. 92-2041. All waste materials generated from this project must be taken to the Wood County Landfill for disposal. Contractor shall advise the Wood County Commissioners when the roll-off box is full. The Wood County Commissioners shall be responsible for all hauling and landfill costs and shall provide a roll-off box for this use. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration of the State of Ohio in accordance with all provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act of the State of Ohio, ORC Sections 4115.03 and 4115.16 and related requirements. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. The Board of County Commissioners may reject any or all of the bids. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of the bid that do not affect or destroy competitive bidding. In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to award the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The work performed under the terms ofthis Contract shall commence as soon as possible and be completed on or before December 31, 2022
