The City of Claremont would welcome your participation in the bid process for the above stated project in the City of Claremont, County of Los Angeles (City) and will receive up to, but no later than the time set forth above, sealed bids for the award of a contract for work described in the Scope of Work. Wheeler Park Community Building is located at 626 Vista Drive, Claremont, CA 91711. CONTRACTOR shall provide all materials and labor necessary to complete the following: Clean and prepare roof to receive new roofing system.
Mechanically attach 1/2 " fanfold over existing roof.
Material to be 36 mil Fibertite membrane.
All membrane to be mechanically attached.
Install two half sheets to perimeter of building for proper wind uplift rating.
Install material up and over all parapet walls, to be in nailed on the face of parapet nailer. Walls to be adhered using low VOC adhesive.
Install all accessories as needed to make roof watertight and per manufacturer's details.
All seams in material to be hot air welded to form a monolithic bond.
Install all accessories as needed for warranty.
All scrubbers will be replaced with clad metal.
Supply and install Clad edge metal (off white in color).
Haul away all roofing debris and clean-up job site complete in a clean professional manner. Warranty - At a minimum, a 10-year guarantee on workmanship and 20-year manufacturer warranty are required. Insurance - The successful Bidder must provide the City with evidence of the following insurance coverage: Prevailing Wage - Contractor is aware of the requirements of California Labor Code Section 1720, et seq., and 1770, et seq., as well as California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 16000, et seq., ("Prevailing Wage Laws"), which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on "public works" and "maintenance" projects. If the Services are being performed as part of an applicable "public works" or "maintenance" project, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if the total compensation is $1,000 or more, Contractor agrees to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws. Term - Work shall begin within 10-days following the Notice to Proceed and be completed within in 90-days.
