Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Fredericksburg Residency Office Building Replace HVAC System 501-B1501-014 at 86 Deacon Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405. The project is generally described as the replacement of the Fredericksburg Residency Office Building HVAC system, but not limited to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing as per the construction documents and specifications. A five percent (5%) bid bond is required to accompany this bid. When required bid shall be accompanied by a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Failure to submit the bid bond on the Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2 will result in the bid being considered non-responsive. (When bid bonds are requested, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bond.) Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia.
