The bidder shall submit, with the proposal, a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal to guarantee. The awarded bidder will enter into contract and obtain required bonds (performance, statutory bond & defect bond) in agreement with the requirements of the Solicitation. The check must be payable to the order of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. The bonds are a state requirement on all construction bids over $50.000.00. V. All contractors that desire to provide the OTA with manual service work are required by state statute to complete an employee E-Verify Form. VI. The work to be performed under ITB 2022-005 consists of: The contractor will be required to provide overhead sign structure gantries, for tolling equipment for the Muskogee Turnpike between Mile Posts 12 & 13, near Mile Post 26, near Mile Posts 40.8. The awarded vendor will deliver the gantries and coordinate with OTA regarding the offloading (by others) and installation of the gantries onto a reinforced concrete foundation to be constructed by others, The overhead sign structure gantries are to be delivered on site on agreed upon dates between January 9.2023 and April 28.2023 on the Muskogee Turnpike. The structures are to be transported to the site by the Awarded Seller, but will be offloaded by others. VII. In awarding the contract the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to act for the best interest of the OTA without technicalities as to procedure. VIII. Policies of insurance will not be cancelled without first giving the OTA 30 calendar days advance notice. This statement must be on the Description of Operations section of the Certificate of Insurance. IX. Upon award of contract to a successful bidder, the contract will be completely and correctly executed by the contractor and returned to the OTA within twenty (20) calendar days from date of award. The OTA will have thirty (30) working days from the date of award to complete its execulion of the contract.
