Renovation of a water / sewer project in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, in the manner required by the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder states that he understands that the work must be completed (Final Completion) within 120 consecutive calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. The Bidder understands for the first fourteen (14) days that liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) shall be assessed for each consecutive calendar for unauthorized delays beyond the contract time and thereafter One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) shall be assessed for each consecutive calendar for unauthorized delays beyond the contract time. The liquidated damages are not a penalty but are for damages resulting to the City since the actual damages would be difficult or impossible to ascertain. Time is of the essence.
