Milled edge keys where needed are incidental. Clearing the edge of pavement of vegetation is incidental. All bidders must be fully insured. Must provide traffic control that meets the MUTCD. The contractor will notify local residents of work dates by signage and door flyers at least 24 hours before work is to begin. Only bid item is asphalt, price per ton Bids will be scheduled for approval and acceptance at the July 05, 2022 Fiscal Court meeting. Bids will be received only from bidders qualified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and a 100% performance bond must be in place before project starts. Materials must meet KYTC specifications at all times. Shelby County Fiscal Court reserves the right to accept the bid deemed by it to be in its best interest, not necessarily the lowest bid; the right to disqualify bids from bidders not deemed to be qualified; the right to disqualify bids deemed to be defective, and the right to waive defects in bids where such defects are not deemed significant.
