Renovation of a municipal facility in Garner, North Carolina. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of July 26, 2023, an architect has been selected and this project is in design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The scope of services will generally include design of all necessary improvements for the proposed project, as described herein, needed to prepare construction plans, contract documents and technical specifications for procurement of the contractor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct the facility. A detailed breakdown of the scope of services is as follows: 1. Development of construction drawings for the 109 Forest Hills Drive building and Town Hall building based on existing program and conceptual plans previously developed under a separate scope and coordination of associated reviews, submittals, and approvals. 2. Detailed design of an IT Data Center at 109 Forest Hills Drive that meets TIA-942 Tier 2 standards or equivalent. Responses should address consultant/team experience in designing IT data centers. 3. Site/Civil Engineering plans for all required site work including pedestrian and vehicular connections, lighting, landscaping, and other required elements. 4. Possible development of space/use program for the 120 Aversboro Road building and other Town-owned buildings as needed to accommodate required office and operational space needs. If needed, the other services detailed in this RFQ may be required for these facilities. 5. Preparation of final contract documents and technical specifications, including itemized bid proposal, and final engineer's estimate. Documents shall be in conformance with standard Town of Garner format. Firm shall attend 1 pre-bid meeting and assist Town staff with response to contractor's questions related to the project and/or preparation of addenda prior to bid opening. Assist Town staff by maintaining comprehensive bidder's list, issuance of addenda, attendance at bid opening, and preparation of bid tabulation. 6. Attend pre-construction meeting to assist Town staff with any technical questions related to construction drawings and/or contract. 7. Review/approve shop drawing submittals from Contractor. 8. Construction administration services.
