ESSER Fund HVAC Replacements Through the process of this RFQ, Pitt County Schools is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from architecture firms for the provision of bid documents related to the replacement of HVAC Systems at multiple sites, to increase indoor air quality and reduce the spread of transmittable diseases. Pitt County Schools is seeking design drawings and construction administration for the complete replacement of HVAC Systems at multiple sites. These sites include Ayden Grifton High School (Main Building & Auxiliary Gym), D.H. Conley High School (300 Wing, Auxiliary Gym, Auditorium), E.B. Aycock Middle School (Cafeteria & Gymnasium), Falkland Elementary (300 Building), Farmville Central High School (Main Building), and North Pitt High School (300 Wing, Gymnasium, Auditorium). Pitt County Schools seeks a qualified firm to develop contract documents that include the construction documents, project manual, technical specifications, and a statement of estimated construction costs. These documents shall include demolition of the existing equipment, installation of new equipment, installation of piping supports, installation of gravel and fencing to create a chiller yard where noted, and the replacement of any asphalt/concrete as necessary to install piping systems. Installation of walls as needed to increase the mechanical room at Falkland. A Code Review of the Ayden Grifton HS / Farmville Central HS Domestic Hot Water Heater Rooms may require walls to be built to separate new and existing water based equipment from the Electrical MDP, depending on final room layout spacing. Firms may submit written questions concerning this RFQ to the Director of Facility Services for receipt not later than 5 pm EST on Wednesday June 29th, 2022. Box 1089 Winterville, NC 28590 Or via email: erricka@pitt.k12.nc.us August 8th, 2022 = Design team contract award(s) at school board meeting October 7th, 2022 = Equipment sizing completed so owner can direct quote and purchase Air handlers, chillers, boilers, transformers, panels, and breakers due to current long lead situation in market. To be approved for purchase at November 7th, 2022 board meeting December 15th, 2022 = Have bid results ready to present to school board work session January 9th, 2023 = Contractor Contracts approved by school board 45 day submittal period of piping and fitting data, structural pipe supports, wiring, etc. March 1st, 2023 = Contract allowed to start work onsite that does not interrupt current system function. Week of March 13th, 2023 = Spring Break, contractor can work freely May 25th, 2023 through June 2nd 2023 = End of Grade Testing, quiet work in boiler room only June 9th, 2023 = Last day for Students June 14th, 2023 = Free Range of campus, all students and teachers gone for summer ~August 14th, 2023 = teachers return, cooling system must be operational ~August 24th, 2023 = open house for students and parents. Permits must be finalized, with Certificate of Occupancy received. ~August 28th, 2023 = students return October 20th, 2023 = Project Completion date, including full operation of Boiler Plant October 25th, 2023 = Final Contractor invoice and all IOM / closeout documents must be received by this date. November 21st, 2023 = Final design team invoice December 15th, 2023 = Final Payment deadline per ESSER Fund Regulations
