Contractor Awarded Address: Layton, UT 84041-4259 USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $44193 TITLE: Alamosa Field Division HVAC Replacement PURPOSE AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region, Albuquerque Area Office, Alamosa Field Division (Reclamation) is looking to reduce energy usage by removing the existing south HVAC systems. The existing HVAC systems shall be replaced with a new (2022 Manufacture's Date) 97% AFUE at 100,000 BTU up-flow force air natural gas furnace, and 3.5 ton 16 SEER split cooling system. Contractor shall furnish and install all equipment, controls, materials, and perform required testing. In addition, the Contractor's HVAC professional shall verify sizing and equipment selections. Removal of existing HVAC systems. The following is a short, bulleted list of activities: o HVAC systems being removed shall be recycled or disposed of accordingly to local requirements off site o Remove existing natural gas-fired force air up-flow furnace o Remove existing force air accessories that are not required for use with new HVAC systems o Remove existing 3.5 ton split cooling HVAC system including capturing refrigerant for approved disposal or reuse in new HVAC system if approved by Manufacturer o Removal of existing HVAC refrigerant lines o Existing ductwork, fresh air intact, and exhaust vents shall be adjusted, modified, and/or replaced if new HVAC systems require or is recommended by the Manufacturer's new HVAC systems The replacement HVAC System shall have the following intrinsic characteristics: o HVAC equipment shall be mounted to reduce operational vibrations and sound transfer throughout the HVAC systems. One sample of this effort would be to mount the force air furnace being on rubber/cork anti-vibration isolation pads. o Natural Gas Furnace: o Natural gas fired up-flow forced air furnace with a rating of 97% AFUE. o Output Rating: 100, 000 BTU minimum. o Air-Condoning System: o 3.5 Tons rated at 16 SEER minimum. o Filtration Systems: o Force air filtration system shall feature high-efficient MERV 11 air cleaning standards. o UV Lamp ionizing air purification system, if awarded in schedule(s). o Ductwork: o Do not damage existing ductwork that is required for reused: Size and replace damage ductwork as required by new HVAC systems. o If existing exhaust and fresh air intake piping is not reusable with new HVAC systems replace with equal quality of materials. o Clean all ductwork in used with South HVAC systems. o Seal all new and existing ductwork after final installation. o Repair or Replace damage ductwork insulation. o Furnish and Install insulation on new ductwork. o Building Controls: o Existing Building Management Systems (BMS) shall be integrated into the new HVAC systems. Existing BMS is a Computrol's 64X Professional two board design user interface controlling the existing HVAC systems. o All changes to existing or new wiring, conduits, and connectors shall be according 2015 NEC and be performed by a state licensed electrician. o All installations shall provide for a neat and acceptable appearance. o Contactor, Subcontractors, and Reclamation shall participate in project meetings as required to develop, track, and maintain project schedules. o The Contractor shall consult with Reclamation to address impacts to existing utilities and HVAC/Mechanical systems prior to removal and/or installation of new HVAC systems. o Contractor shall provide Reclamation personnel orientation on new HVAC systems and integration best practices with existing BAS. LOCATION: Alamosa Field Division, 10900 Highway 160 East, Alamosa, Colorado 81101 NAICS AND SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this project is 238220 with a small business size standard of $16.5 Million. COMPETITION: This requirement is being procured in accordance with Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a small business set-aside. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement.
