It is anticipated that a Notice of Award will be issued by the Corpus Christi Independent School District on or before August 8, 2022, and that a Notice to Proceed and Purchase Order will be issued within 10 days of award pending District receipt of bonding and executed contract. All questions regarding the plans or specifications for this project shall be directed to the Architect/Engineer. Any changes to the proposal must be executed by an addendum. All questions regarding the Competitive Sealed Proposal submission(s) shall be directed to Arlene Martinez, Purchasing Specialist, at (361) 695-7359. A certified cashier's check or bid bond to be submitted with Pricing Proposal acceptable to Owner, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the largest amount bid must accompany each Proposal submitted. Such bid security is to protect Owner against the withdrawal of bids during the thirty (30) day period following the scheduled date for bid opening, and to further protect Owner against failure, neglect or refusal of any offeror awarded a contract to execute the required Contract and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notification of the acceptance of this proposal. Offeror shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, as required by law, each in the amount of the full contract price, and each in form promulgated by Owner. Such bonds must be written by a company, or companies, acceptable to and approved by Owner. The awarded contractor must provide the same on-site foreman or superintendent that was proposed and evaluated by the District. The contractor shall not replace the onsite foreman or superintendent during performance of the contract unless prior approval is received by the District. The District may, at its own discretion, request that the on-site foreman or superintendent be replaced. Upon approval or direction from the District, the contractor shall replace the on-site foreman or superintendent with an individual with similar qualifications and competence.
