*This project will rebid in August* The City of Isle of Palms is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a pickle ball court at the Isle of Palms Recreation Center located at 24 28th Avenue. The new pickle ball court will be located at the site of the old basketball court located on 27th Avenue. The City of Isle of Palms is a seven-mile-long barrier island off the coast of South Carolina in Charleston County. Currently, the existing tennis courts are lined in order to be shared with the pickle ball community and used often for games and lessons. The construction of this new court will be dedicated solely for pickle ball. The tennis and pickle ball courts are public and heavily used by pickle ball enthusiasts and avid tennis players both residents and visitors to the Isle of Palms. The request is being made and awarded pursuant to the Citys procurement ordinance.
