Renovation of a fire / police facility in Newton, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Town of Newton, Board of Selectmen is soliciting proposals to conduct a feasibility study of the current building housing the Police Department. Below is a brief description of required services: A comprehensive study of the current building and its needs to bring the station into compliance with the following codes ADA Accessibility code, 2018 NFPA Life Safety 101 code, 2015 editions of the International Building Code (IBC), the International Existing Building Code (IEBC), the International Plumbing Code (IPC), the International Mechanical Code (IMC), the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and the 2017 National Electric Code and any other codes that are required by Federal, State and/ or local entities. Study would also include exterior building needs, such as siding, roofing, windows, etc. Evaluate the interior floorplan and recommend improvements for better flow if needed. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
