The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission, on behalf of Northampton County, is requesting sealed bids from qualified firms to perform maintenance dredging of Kings Creek Channel on the east side of the Chesapeake Bay in the Town of Cape Charles with the option to include dredging of Nassawadox Creek. The project includes the hydraulic dredging of approximately 27,000CY of the Kings Creek Channel; the dredged material will be conveyed by pipeline to the nearby County owned Cape Charles Public Beach. The option to add Nassawadox Creek is dependent upon potential FY23 funds from the Virginia Port Authority Waterway Maintenance Fund; details on preliminary specifications of Nassawadox Creek dredging can be found in the full bid package.
