Renovation of a water / sewer project in Richlands, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Bidder shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete electrical system upgrades and install a new HVAC system within the existing masonry well house. All work is to be performed at 482 Firetower Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540. ONWASA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids if it is deemed best for the public good, and to waive any informality in the bids received. ONWASA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which, in the opinion of ONWASA, appears to be in its best interest or to award this project in part or total. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete electrical system upgrades and install a new HVAC system within the existing masonry well house located at 482 Firetower Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Work on this project shall conform to the following: 1) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS a) All work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and local codes and regulations governing this project. b) Contractor shall be responsible for securing and paying for all regulatory permits and/or inspections required. c) Entrance to the site is restricted; work schedules must be coordinated with ONWASA to ensure access. d) Contractor shall conduct all operations in such a manner as to avoid damage to well site facilities (controls, building, security gate and fencing, etc.). Any such damage shall be repaired by the Contractor at no additional cost to ONWASA. e) Contractor will have sixty (60) calendar days from the date when the Notice to Proceed is awarded to complete this project. f) Contractor shall warranty all work for no less than ninety (90) calendar days from the date of final acceptance by ONWASA, and shall provide the full manufacturer's warranty period on materials. 2) FURNISH AND INSTALL VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE a) Provide a variable frequency drive (VFD) unit to control the existing well pump motor (rated 460 volt, 125 hp, 3 phase). Specified unit is the CFW11 System Drive series, as manufactured by WEG Electric Corporation of Duluth, Georgia or approved equal. The specific VFD size/model number to be installed must be coordinated with the manufacturer, based on the motor and service conditions, and information on the selected unit shall be submitted with the Contractor's proposal. b) VFD and associated HMI shall be installed in the existing motor control panel, along with any additional ventilation units recommended by the manufacturer for VFD operation. c) Contractor shall install and terminate all wiring required between the VFD and the existing Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) to provide SCADA inputs and outputs, as well as providing wiring for two (2) existing paceable chemical feed pumps. d) Contractor shall be responsible for modifying and expanding the existing PLC to accommodate the new PLC hardware. PLC hardware will be provided by ONWASA and installed by the Contractor. e) Contractor shall be responsible for determining the location to terminate wiring in order to ensure a fully functional VFD and chemical feed pump system upon completion. f) ONWASA shall be responsible for SCADA programming and will provide the VFD and chemical pump wiring termination locations to the Contractor. g) Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating all SCADA related controls with the SCADA integrator hired by ONWASA. h) Contractor shall be responsible for VFD setup and programming prior to final acceptance of the project. i) Warranty information and operating/maintenance manuals shall be provided to ONWASA prior to Item #4 Test and Start-Up
