As of August 12, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The City of Monticello (City) located in the south east of Arkansas operates a wastewater treatment plant known as Monticello East WWTP Lagoon (Monticello East). Its exact location is at 1000 Florence Road, Monticello, AR 71639. Monticello East proposes to replace its baffles in the three lagoon cells of the four-lagoon cell system. The work to perform will include: o The removal of any existing baffles in cells 1, 2, and 3, and disposing them. o Field verifications of the appropriate sections of the lagoon cells 1, 2, and 3 before placing an order for new baffles. o Installation of the new baffles in accordance with the plans and specifications of the project. o The total time required to complete this job is approximating four (4) months including ordering and shipping. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 22-9-203, the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the City of Monticello, Arkansas in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, ordinances and regulations. Also, a bid may be rejected if it, in any manner, shall fail to conform to the conditions of the Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents.
