Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Novi, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This project consists of the removal and replacement of the pedestrian tunnel underneath S. Lake Drive that leads to Lakeshore Park Beach. This will be done with a new precast concrete culvert and headwalls and cast in place wingwalls. Also included in this project will be the replacement of roadway and pathway in the areas immediately surrounding the tunnel and some upgrades to the beach area. The project will be financed with local funds. Bid Security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders must be submitted with each Bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 120 days after the actual date of opening thereof. This time period may be extended by mutual agreement of the OWNER and any Bidder or Bidders. The City reserves the right to accept any or all alternative Bids and award the contract to other than the lowest bidder, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both; to reject any or all Bids; and in general to make the award of the Contract in any manner deemed by the City, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the City of Novi.
