Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Squamish, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,158-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The District is seeking to engage an experienced Construction Manager to lead all aspects of construction for the following project: DOS Valleycliffe Childcare Project - 38430 Westway, Squamish BC This project involves a partnership between the District of Squamish, Sea to Sky School District 48, and Sea to Sky Community Services Society to build and co-locate a municipally-owned child care facility located at Valleycliffe Elementary School site in Squamish South. The facility will provide 36 new full-time spaces (12 Infant/Toddler) plus 24 group care spaces (30 mo. to school age) in a new, stand-alone building. The proposed school site is centrally located in the Valleycliffe neighbourhood, in close proximity to John Hunter Park. The site is zoned P2 (Assembly District) and permits child care facility use. The child care centre will be supported by a long-term land lease agreement between the School District and District of Squamish, and a long-term partner and operating agreement with Sea to Sky Community Services Society to operate the child care facility for a minimum of 15 years. The proposed facility has a gross floor area of 250 m2, and allows for 12 infant/toddler spaces (45 m2), as well as 24 group care spaces for kids aged 3-5 years (90 m2). The proposed facility will likely be of a modular or prefabricated type construction, consisting of facility produced panels and assembled on site.
