2022 Carter County is seeking bids to haul gravel. The County seeks to gravel 5 miles of the South Cottonwood Road. The gravel will be hauled from the Thomas pit off of Highway 323 approximately 21 miles North of Alzada. Starting point will be 1.8 miles North of Highway 212 on South Cottonwood RD and continue for 5 miles average one-way haul is 34.5 miles. Gravel is to be put on the road at 1200 yds per mile. Work is to be completed by October 1, 2022. The County will furnish a loader. Trailers must be single belly dump style. Successful bidders must provide proof of MT Contractor's License and DOT inspection. Must carry liability insurance and workers compensation insurance. All fuel storage shall be mobile. Claims for payment shall be submitted by the last working day of the month. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Call Carl Knapp with questions at 406-975-6251.
