The Town of German Flatts is requesting sealed bids for the Roof Replacement on the Town Highway Garage. The scope of services includes the removal of the existing metal roof and wood purlins followed by replacement of the purlins and new metal roof. Site visits can be arranged by contacting the Town Office at 315-866-4960. The Contractor shall complete all the work covered by the Contract as soon as possible but no later than 60 calendar days 1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: Supply all materials, labor and equipment to replace the existing 3/12 pitch roof on the 90' x 120'Highway Garage located at 3730 State Route 168 Mohawk NY. 1. Remove existing metal roofing from building (existing roofing material will remain onsite) 2. Replace all 2x4 roof purlins with #2 grade lumber or equivalent 3. Replace multiple sill plate framing materials beneath truss bottom cord and concrete block wall, in kind. Anchor replacement sill plate to concrete block wall every 4' o.c and install a truss tie anchor on each truss to the replacement sill plate. 4. Install new 26 gauge steel galvalume imperial rib roofing with rake edge and vent ridge(standard color tbd) at the roof peak for ventilation (ex. Profilevent, Versavent or equal) 5. 1%" self-sealing screws w/neoprene washers color matched to roofing color 6. The existing building has no gable overhangs and the new roof purlins and roof steel will extend to incorporate a minimum 12" gable overhang with 2x6 gable fascia, install additional blocking as necessary. Soffit to be nailed min. every 12". 7. Each of the existing 120' building eaves have 2x8 sub fascia with 12" and 24" overhangs respectively. Replace 2x8 sub fascia and install additional blocking of the 4' truss ends for soffit and fascia nailing as required. 8. All overhangs to have white 1" steel drip edge with closure strip between drip edge and roof steel. 9. All 2x6 and 2x8 fascia will be covered with white min. 024" aluminum fascia material (ex. NEG or equal). All gable overhangs will have solid triple 4" vinyl soffit and eave overhangs will have fully vented vinyl triple 4" soffit.
