Fond du Lac County Land Information Department - Parks & Trails Division is requesting proposals from qualified landscape architectural firms for a new master park design for Veterans Memorial Park located at 190 S. Main Street in the City of Fond du Lac. The scope of this request for proposals includes the landscape design, bid specifications, and construction management of a modernized layout for Veterans Memorial Park that includes electricity, exterior lighting, municipal water, benches, an ADA-compliant layout, ADA- -compliant stage, permeable paver walkway, and potential new fountain. The park is currently serviced by the City of Fond du Lac with municipal water. The County is focused on improving accessibility and continuing to invest in its recreational assets. The County anticipates selecting a landscape architecture firm relatively soon after the proposals are submitted so that design work can start immediately in 2022. County Staff requests for the master park design be completed by October 2022 in order to meet the County's financial planning requirements set for the County's 2023 Budget. Once the design has been completed, the County will look to advertise the project in hope for donations and fundraising opportunities to fund a majority of the project. The County intends to fulfill the remaining funds for this project by allocating funds in the budget with the intention to start construction in 2024. If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please provide the following: 1.Your experience with similar projects, including examples and references. 2.Staff assigned to this project and their roles. 3.Your anticipated timeline for design work and bid documents for construction. 4.A price for design and bid specification services. 5.A separate price for construction management activities from bid reviews through final inspection. We will hire one firm for both phases of the project. Certificate of Insurance naming Fond du Lac County as an additional insured must be provided to Fond du Lac County prior to the start of any services. Minimum limit requirements available upon request. Proposals received after this date and time may not be considered. Fond du Lac County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and the right to disregard all nonconforming proposals. If the project is awarded, it shall be awarded to the bid that will best serve the interests of Fond du Lac County. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
