Western Reserve Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Tank The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to construct two pre-cast sludge holding tanks approximately 9 feet in width, 34 feet 6 inches in length, and 10 feet 8 inches in height. Tanks are to include six (6) diffuser assemblies connected to an existing airline, a 4-inch Polyvinyl Chloride SDR-35 influent piping with appropriate valving to both tanks, an overflow line for each tank with appropriate valving to isolate each tank, an aluminum handrail at a minimum height of 3 feet 6 inches above grade, and an 18-inch square cast in place concrete ballast around the perimeter of the tanks for anti-floatation. Project located at the treatment plant, 11708 State Route 88, Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. The Contractor shall familiarize himself with all of Section 20, including 'Information and Instructions to Bidders' and 'Special Construction Requirements' prior to bidding. The Bid Guarantee is conditioned to provide that if the Bid is accepted and awarded, the Bidder will enter into a contract with the County and will file a Performance Bond as required. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the sum of 100 percent of the Contract price for the faithful performance of the Contract. If the Bidder selects "Bid Guarantee" Option A, the Bidder may use this Bond as the Performance Bond. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the documentation and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The bidder shall purchase the plans and a contract book to become a qualified participant before final bid submittal. Responses to all questions will be form of an Addendum. The Owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days after the "Notice to Proceed" is issued and complete restoration within thirty (30) days thereafter. Each Proposal must be sealed and marked "Western Reserve WWTP Sludge Tank, Project No. N-1 (22-020)". Domestic Steel use requirements as specified in section 153.011 of the revised code apply to this project. Copies of section 153.011 of the revised code can be obtained from any of the offices of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services. The Portage County Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids.
