Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Working plans call for site work for a pipeline; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and transportation facility.
This project includes the removal of portions of a failed aviation fuel distribution system and the construction and installation of new piping with the retention and reuse of the existing fueling cabinets and electrical control systems. It is presumed that the soil removed from the pipeline path will be contaminated with petroleum product and this contract requires the lawful disposal of the contaminated materials. The project also requires restoration to the asphalt roadway and landscaping along the pipeline path. Title VI Solicitation Notice: The City, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d 4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this Invitation to Bid, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
