Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a medical facility in El Paso, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 225,000-square-foot, 11-story above grade, 146-bed medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the construction of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Plans call for the the expansion, renovation, and new construction of the University Medical Center of El Paso; while providing hundreds of jobs and paving the way for employment opportunities within El Paso’s healthcare industry. The University Medical Center of El Paso features a newly renovated emergency department, Level I Trauma Center, a comprehensive Cardiovascular Services Program, a new in-patient Surgery Center, and a new Chemotherapy and Infusion Center. Along with the renovations and expansions to the facility, a 146-bed women’s hospital and 225,000-square-foot children’s hospital are located in the newly constructed 11-story tower. This project is part of the El Paso County Hospital District’s Bond. As of January 8, 2026, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been released.
