Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Costa Mesa, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project will construct Class IV cycle tracks on Fairview Road by reducing the number of vehicle lanes from six lanes to four lanes from Fair Drive to Wilson Street. From Wilson Street to Newport Boulevard, the project will construct bicycle improvements including buffered bike lanes. The pedestrian design improvements will include high-visibility crosswalks, a midblock pedestrian hybrid beacon (HAWK Signal) between Wilson Street and Fair Drive with a pedestrian refuge island, and bus boarding islands to improve pedestrian connectivity and safety. The project is included in the City of Costa Mesa's FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of February 25, 2025, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
