Title: Work Zone Traffic Control for NYSDOT Cross County Parkway Lighting Inspection - NYSDOT Region 8 Parsons Transportation Group of New York (Parsons), is seeking a subcontractor to provide Work Zone Traffic Control for Consultant Inspection Team in NYSDOT's Region 8 (Hudson Valley) The work will consist of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment necessary to perform Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) on the Cross County Parkway between Saw Mill River Parkway and Hutchinson River Parkway ,Westchester County in the State of New York. The WZTC is required for Parsons and New York State of Transportation (NYSDOT) personnel, or their authorized designee, to safely inspect approximately 620 roadside and median light poles along the Cross County Parkway. Work shall be performed as described and in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) - 2009 with revision and the NYSDOT Standard Specification Section 619 (Work Zone Traffic Control). Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 0% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Location: NYSDOT Region 8 (Hudson Valley) The Award of the Contract will be made within 21 calendar days after receipt of Bids, subject to final approval of NYSDOT. A tabulation of the Bids will be provided to all Bidders by e-mail. Insurance: The insurance requirements shall be in accordance with the specifications in the Bid Documents and shall consist of the following: Policies of Bodily Injury Liability and Property Damage Liability Insurance; Policies of Automobile and Truck Insurance; Workmen's Compensation Insurance; All Subcontractor's. Contract: The duration of the contract will be from approximately August 1, 2022 until October 31, 2022. The project period that requires Work Zone Traffic Control services for one inspection team is anticipated to start on or about August 15, 2022 and end on or about September 21, 2022 for approximately 25 workdays (Monday to Friday). Of the total 25 estimated inspection trips to the site requiring Work Zone Traffic Control services, it is anticipated that three (3) night inspection trips will be required. Contract term: August 1, 2022 - October 31, 2022 Required Experience: As the safety of human lives is at risk, the Subcontractor shall have had a minimum of five (5) years documented experience in the performance of traffic control. Additionally, all flag persons shall have had a minimum of six (6) months of documented experience in traffic control. All Subcontractors' personnel assigned to this work shall have their flagging certification current , must be able to communicate in a clear and effective manner, and be familiar with the MUTCD - 2009 with revision and the NYSDOT Standard Specification Section 619. Parsons is the prime consultant on the NYSDOT's Contract No. D037989. All applicable provisions of the prime contractor apply to the subcontractor. Parsons reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities, to invite for new bid proposals and to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional bids. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
