Renovation of a transportation facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

As of September 2, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. The Battery room renovations and upgrades shall include; renovate and upgrade Twenty-Two (22) Metro UPS Battery rooms; remove dirt and debris in such a manner as to provide a clean, dry, debris-free interior floor and wall surface of the entirety of the battery room; repair, seal and paint surface of the battery room floor and vertical surface of the battery room wall; design lighting with a minimum illumination level of 300 lux (30 fc) and replace existing lighting with a new LED lighting fixture; install new, a fully enclosed, direct drive fan blower assembly; optimize airflow by cleaning existing duct and filter to provide enough fresh air supply; install new ventilation duct, as necessary; cap and seal all drains; replace battery room signage; Test and Commission battery room upgrades to meet or exceed battery room design; replace existing Spill Kit with Universal Drum Acid Spill Kit. Project Cost Class C - $500,000 to $1,000,000 MBE Participation (%) 23.0 Questions regarding the work should be directed in writing to Cassandra Gilbert At CGilbert@MDOT.Maryland.Gov. Questions concerning this solicitation must be received no later than Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the close of the business day. No interpretations other than written shall be binding on the Administration. Each bid exceeding $100,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on a form furnished by the Administration in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid Price. A performance and payment bond is required for all construction contracts in excess of $100,000. The performance bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The payment bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Bond shall be on a form furnished by the MTA, underwritten by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Maryland, and in the amount specified by this solicitation. Upon receiving notification of contract award, the Contractor shall deliver the bond to the MTA no later than the time the Contractor executes the contract. Bid, payment, and performance security may be in the form of: (1) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State; (2) a bond executed by an individual surety that meets certain criteria; (3) another form of security required by State or federal law; or (4) another form of security satisfactory to the unit awarding the contract. Sections 13-207, 13-216, 17-104 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, Annotated Code of Maryland. C. It is the goal of the Administration that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises participate in all Contracts. Each Contract will contain goals for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation on a contract-to-contract basis. A subcontracting goal of twenty-four percent (24%) has been established for this procurement. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
