Site work for a mixed-use development in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; transportation facility; and water / sewer project.
The Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority is in the process of selecting a firm to construct 6,277 feet of parallel Mainline Track and #20 turnouts, #15 crossovers, associated Culverts, inlets, junction boxes, and storm manholes, as well as remove and replace 1,973 feet of existing track and install signals to improve the rail infrastructure and provide drainage capacity to the McKalla Station (Project 2). The additional mainline capacity on the existing freight and passenger lines will optimize the system to better meet a growing demand for service in the corridor and provide service to the McKalla Station.
