Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

As of March 8, 2024, per owner, design teams have been identified. General contractor bidding expected Fall 2024-Fall 2025. Construction expected to be Spring 2025-Spring 2026. KR0136, Route 50 intersection improvements in Johnson County, KU0099 - US 169 bridge replacement over BNSF Railway in Clay County, J3S3489, KU0098, J3S3178 - Bridge replacements - Cookingham Road over I-435 in Platte County - Route 7 over Big Creek and The Rock Island Trail in Cass County, and Route E over Panther Creek in Ray County The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is requesting the services of consulting engineering firms to perform the described professional services for multiple projects and project packages included on the attached list. MoDOT expects multiple consultants will be selected for these two distinct projects. Please reference the Cover Sheet for the list of projects and description of work. DBE firms must be certified by the Missouri Department of Transportation in order to be counted as participation towards an established DBE Goal. We encourage DBE firms to submit letters of interest as prime consultants for any projects they feel can be managed by their firm. We also encourage both DBE firms and non-DBE firms to consider joining MoDOT's Mentor/Protege program whenever possible as part of a MoDOT project. MoDOT anticipates multiple consultants will be selected for these projects and will evaluate firms based on: Project Understanding & Innovation, Past Performance, Qualifications of Personnel Assigned, General Experience of Firm, Familiarity/Capability, Accessibility of Firm & Staff. Firm's not providing a response on approach to workforce diversity will be considered non-responsive to this solicitation. Firms that are not current on all of the required prequalification categories found in MoDOT's Approved Consultant Prequalification List at the date of the solicitation expiration will be considered non-responsive.
