Question Cut Off Date: 9/29/2025 01:00:00 PM (CT) E 13th St Bridge over Canadian Pacific Kansas City Southern Railway Removal SCOPE OF SERVICES This is a list of anticipated items but is not necessarily comprehensive: Coordinate with railroad to acquire necessary clearances. The railroad has indicated that a set of plans signed and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer shall be required for their review. Railroad flagging and coordination of flagging required. Partial removal requires remaining pier cap and stringers to be supported by shoring or by some other method at the direction of a licensed Iowa Professional Engineer. Salvage and deliver bridge timber materials to the City of Davenport Marquette Yard. Bridge timbers shall be as intact as possible. Any "Purington Paver" brick removed shall be salvaged and delivered to the City of Davenport Marquette Yard. All other removed materials shall become the property of the contractor. Acquire required local permits as required. Contractor will be required to repair or replace anything damaged or removed that was not designated for removal. Work with surrounding residents to ensure mail delivery and solid waste collection services are maintained. Existing chain link fencing shall be reinstalled at both ends of the bridge Contractor to maintain appropriate safety closures when not present at the site. Restore pavement as required for vehicular traffic. Work shall be complete, including restoration, no later than February 27th, 2026. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. Working Days - Work shall be complete, including restoration, no later than February 27th, 2026. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
