Report No. 103-20-366 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The major work will consist of the (approximate) following: 14,330 LF 36-Inch force main (HDPE) with associated appurtenances ~6,360 LF by Open Cut ~2,570 LF with 48-inch Steel Casing Pipe or Tunnel Liner Plate by Other than Open Cut ~5,400 LF by Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) 900 LF 24-Inch and 27-Inch fiberglass reinforced sanitary sewer with associated appurtenances ~775 LF by Open Cut ~125 LF with 42-inch Steel Casing Pipe or Tunnel Liner Plate by Other than Certain improvements included in this project must be performed by a contractor or designated subcontractor who is pre-qualified by the City at the time of bid opening. The procedures for qualification and pre-qualification are outlined in the Section 3 of 00 21 13 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Furthermore, additional requirements for prequalification regarding the installation of HDPE pipe by Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) are required. Prequalification submittals shall be in accordance with Section 00 21 14 Instructions to Bidders Section, Part 3.5, Section 00 45 11 Bidders Prequalifications, and Section 33 05 46 Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). Failure to comply with the prequalification requirements set forth shall result in the rejection of the bid as non-responsive.
