Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
**As of August 08, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on August 10, 2022.** For the construction of the Salt Storage Building. A certified check, payable to the City of Johnstown, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and Surety Company, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the City of Johnstown and the Bidder. To access the electronic format the bidder must have a valid email address and will require an internet connection. All checks shall be made payable to The EADS Group, Inc. Bidders must purchase the Contract Documents and Plans (in either format) from The EADS Group, Inc. to be eligible to bid this project. The project is being funded with local funds. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor informalities not involving price, time or changes in the Work.
