The University of Virginia (UVA) and University of Virginia Foundation (UVAF) are embarking on an affordable housing initiative and providing land for new mixed income residential communities on two sites in the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. UVA/UVAF are issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for interested development teams for these sites. A separate RFQ for a third site will be issued once the rezoning process for that property is completed. UVA/UVAF will evaluate responses based upon the criteria set forth in the RFQ. UVA/UVAF intend to invite shortlisted Respondents to submit detailed proposals in response to a subsequent Request for Proposals. For general questions, please call Todd Marshall at (434) 924-2569. The University of Virginia (UVA) and University of Virginia Foundation (UVAF) are embarking on an affordable housing initiative which will create new mixed-income residential communities in support of UVA/UVAF's commitment to increase available affordable housing in the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia. UVA has delegated the administration of this process to UVAF. UVA/UVAF has issued this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify qualified teams (Respondents) to redevelop two sites, including approximately two acres in an area that includes 1000 & 1010 Wertland Street; 129 10th Street NW (Wertland & 10th) (the site does not include Stacey Hall); and an approximately 12 acre (developable, 24 acres total) site along Mimosa Drive in Charlottesville, VA (Piedmont). Deadline for Written Questions Questions may be submitted to the Points of Contact listed below at any time through this deadline July 1, 2022 @ 3pm UVA/UVAF Reponses to Written Questions Questions and responses will be available to all Respondents via online July 15, 2022 The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
