This Request for Proposal (the "RFP") by the Corporation of the Town of Cochrane (the "Town") invites Proposals from qualified Bidders (the "Bidder") to replace the roof on the North portion of the Cochrane Fire Hall, 23 Fifth Street. All work must be done according to the Ontario Building Code and manufacturer's instructions. Provide all necessary materials, labour and equipment to repair the roof. Existing roof consists of metal clad crimped panels with a 1 1/2" seam, the tender requires filling all gaps between seams and install a PVC membrane over the entire surface. The area measures approx. 80' x 40' (3200 sq. ft.) The scope of work for this RFP is further described below: - Install 1 1/2" blocking at perimeter - Fill all flutes with ISO - Add a layer of 1 1/2" ISO and secure to the metal with fasteners and weld all joints - Cover roof with 60 Mil PVC membrane and fasten to deck with fasteners and weld all joints. - Install protective strip on upper roof to protect against falling ice/snow - Install any required flashing - Provide 15-year warranty - Install all other items located on the roof as required to complete this work. - Contractor shall keep work area neat at the end of each work day and contained through the duration of the job. - Contractor shall magnetic sweep around the property. - Make good all existing adjacent surface by this work to the full satisfaction of the Town of Cochrane. The work will commence only after written approval from the Town of Cochrane and is expected to be completed by November 30, 2022. The Bidder will specify the earliest start date possible on the proposal submitted.
