Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 45,000-square-foot, two-story above grade stadium; clubhouse / community center; and municipal facility.
Plans may result in construction of a new multi-purpose facility to include an indoor ice rink (230-by-145-foot), a community walking track & fitness area, approx. 20,000 sq. ft. of rentable/leasable space and possibly municipal offices. TIMELINE: The provincial government has approved a $5-million grant and the municipality will be contributing $1 million. Project is on hold pending federal funding support. Scope of work and schedules for design, tender and construction are yet to be finalized.
