A separate mailing envelope shall be used for Bids that are mailed or delivered by a commercial delivery service. Mailed or delivered Bids shall be addressed to the "Superintendent's Office District 218". Bids not received in the Superintendent's Office by the specified time may be rejected or returned unopened. All documents and information required by the Bidding Documents for the project shall be submitted with the bid. Incomplete, late or non-conforming bids may not be accepted. No bids shall be withdrawn, cancelled or modified after the time for opening of bids without the Board's consent for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities, in whole or in part, or to accept in whole or in part, the bid(s) which serve(s) in the best interest of Community High School District #218. A contract will be awarded only after a formal notice is given to a vendor as determined by the Board of Education. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all bid formalities. All bidders shall submit a non-collusion affidavit with their bid as per the enclosed form. It is the policy of the School District to provide equal opportunity to all qualified businesses in the awarding of contracts and accordingly promotes the utilization of diversified businesses to the maximum extent feasible in any contract issued against the solicitation to bid.
