The second project is located in Wakulla County, Florida, and includes the seventh phase of construction of a gravity sewer system servicing the residential area known as Wakulla Gardens. Wakulla Gardens Phase VII is located on the west side of Spring Creek Hwy, approximately 0.75 miles south of Doctor Martin Luther King Jr Memorial (M.L.K.) Road intersection. This phase will include construction of a gravity sewer system consisting of 4,616 LF of 8in gravity sewer, 24 manholes, a duplex lift station, 2,029 LF of 4in force main and service to approximately 40 existing homes and 58 vacant parcels. Phase VII sewer system will collect and convey wastewater to a local Phase VII duplex lift station constructed as part of this project that will pump through a 4in force main and discharge into an existing manhole on Dakota Drive ultimately flowing to the existing Wakulla Gardens Master Lift station at the intersection of Spring Creek Hwy and Doctor M.L.K. Jr Memorial Road. Work at existing homes will be a complete plumbing connection and demolition of existing septic tanks per Health Department rules. Restoration work will include paving impacted roads per FDOT Specifications, drainage improvements, and complete restoration of impacted areas within the project site. A bid bond/deposit shall be for 5% of the amount of the bid. A Performance and Payment Bond issued in a sum equal to one-hundred (100%) percent of the total awarded Contract amount by a surety company considered satisfactory by the County and otherwise authorized to transact business in the State of Florida will be required from the successful Respondent for purposes of insuring the faithful performance of the obligations imposed by the resulting Proposal and for purposes of protecting the County from lawsuits for non- payment of debts as might be incurred during the successful Respondent's performance under such Contract. When applicable, the performance and payment bond form will be included in the Contract Documents and said form must be properly executed by the surety company; within fifteen (15) calendar days after notification by the County of the County's intent to award the Contract.
